Below are some photos of a stunning Baltimore quilt totally hand-made by one of our very well-known members, Brenda Ford. The blocks came from Elly Sienkiewicz's books. It is all hand-sewn and quilted except for the sashing and joining of the blocks, which is machine sewn. Brenda's husband, Michael, knew that Brenda was making the quilt, but sadly he died before it was finished in 2019.
The quilt won two rosettes at Sandown Park in 2019. The purple one is for Hand Quilting and the ruby one is the Judges Merit. Brenda is a long-standing member of Log Cabin Quilters and is our 'go to' for anything to do with either applique or quilting. Her work is beautiful and we offer her many congratulations.
