In December 2015 we ran our first ever course. One of our members, Jenny, agreed to organise and run a beginners' course for both members of the group and potential members. The course was to make a table runner in time to adorn a Christmas table.
In all, seven ladies took part and while much fun was had by all, all the ladies learnt a great deal from Jenny and we were very pleased to welcome three of the ladies as members of Log Cabin Quilters. To put the course together took a great deal of time and hard work and as a group we are very grateful to Jenny for offering to do this.
Below you can see some of the results. Not all of the ladies opted for the Christmas theme but they all produced really attractive pieces.

These two pictures show the class members hard at work. Jenny is giving some instructions and you can see on the table some of the 'work in progress'.
This photo shows four of the class members together with Jenny, their teacher, with their finished pieces. Not everyone chose to use Christmas fabrics and it is always interesting to see how different the end product can be when following identical instructions.
Everyone was very pleased with what they had achieved.
